LONG BIOGRAPHY  

J.D. Myall is a self-proclaimed literary lunatic; she is crazy about reading, and writing is like breathing to her. She holds a BS in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Drexel University. Myall's diverse background includes counseling crime victims and addicts, serving on a literary awards show's board, judging Writer's Digest's annual writing competition, and contributing to MS Magazine, Writer’s Digest, HuffPost, and other publications. Myall teaches creative writing and publishing and pens feminist fantasies that delve into race and class. She co-chairs Drexel's MFA Alumni Association and is one of the founding members of Drexel's Black Writers' Circle (BWC), dedicated to fostering inclusive literary communities. Myall's personal experiences as a former army wife, domestic abuse survivor, and hit-and-run survivor enrich and inform her writing, deepening her empathy. A devoted mother to four, including two with autism, she delights in family time and nurturing emerging writers, finding joy in simple pleasures like chocolate and things that glitter. Find her at www.jdmyall.com.
